This is a remastered October 31st 2016 reissue of 'Louisville Babylon II' originally released October 2007 by Louisville Is For Lovers.
In 1994 an authorized compilation of Louisville bands covering the Misfits called 'Louisville Babylon' was released by Analog Distillery in an edition of 666 cassette tapes. In 2007 Louisville Is For Lovers acquired permission to release a follow up called 'Louisville Babylon II' as well as releasing the first edition on CD. Both volumes were released on CD in editions of 666.
In conjunction with the Louisville Free Public Library's Local music archive, Louisville Mix, both editions have been inducted into the archive, as well as Louisville Babylon II being reissued here digitally.
The original release of Louisville Babylon II was sequenced by Kent O'Bryan at Logan Street Studios and Mastered by Kevin Ratterman at the Funeral Home. Much thanks and praise to My Morning Jacket who helped a great deal in getting this project of the ground, and to Analog Distillery for allowing us to do so, and of course to The Misfits for giving their blessing (and also for making the first order for CDs!). The 2016 reissue was remastered by John King at The Electric Church Of The tambourine.

This album jams. Mylar is discovering an area of stoner funk, picking up the pieces of psychedelic free form rock.
Casual listeners don’t need to always feel bottled up when listening to Mylar. Sometimes you need an Unblown Balloon to take your mind away. The instructions are pretty straight forward: throw it on and let it play out. Very grateful to hear these recordings that capture three musicians organically jamming and having a good time. 🤌🏼eeeugh the_forest

1st time i heard DeathWish, i turned it off.
felt rushed, not the Isbell i've come to admire. really grab'd me when i took time to listen on the 2nd try. the writing on these songs stopped me in my tracks more than once. raw talent with just enough polish in the delivery.
thankyou Jason + 400 for another keeper
