As the opening break beat of the album I wanted to construct a song using samples of musicians covering other musicians work since, at it's core, Turntablism is an musical art form that is built from other music and musicians.
In this work we have Joan Jett and the Blackhearts covering Gary U.S. Bonds, Hello covering Russ Ballard, and in a truly unique recording we have Mark Ronson covering Amy Winehouse's version of Valerie, which is a song Ronson wrote and released on his own album (with Winehouse), but here we have him playing in the style Winehouse used when covering his song live.
